I agree with everything you've said here about how to receive negative feedback. It is not easy, but having a structured way to view it, as you have laid out here, adds an objectivity to it that makes it possible. I remember the first time I had the opportunity to put the principles, similar to what you've written, into practice. That's because I had fair warning of what was coming and had time to prepare myself mentally. I was ready and did it right. What could have been the end of a relationship actually made it stronger. And lesson learned for me, being able to receive criticism without falling apart or going crazy is so very freeing.
